North Carolina Global Awareness and Educator Evaluation System
Start here with this self-assessment tool! The Global Awareness and North Carolina Educator Evaluation System is an ideal self-assessment tool for those interested in globalizing their instruction. The pdf can be found here and I think it's useful to conduct a pre-assessment, prioritize one area to work on first, with one or two elements, then conduct your post-assessment. Be honest, and ideally, conduct the pre-assessments with a partner or collaborative group. You'll be surprised at what you already do, but more importantly, the depth at which you can take those actions based on these guidelines. |
Global Educator BadgeNorth Carolina encourages teachers to demonstrate their ability to increase student global awareness. One new implementation as of 2015 is the Global Educator Digital Badge. This page has frequent updates and the basic information needed to apply and earn the badge.
